NBA EXECUTIVE, NBDL OFFICIALS, AND TOP TALENT HIGHLIGHT WWPI MEN'S PRO COMBINE IN WASHINGTON D.C.
The Winning Ways Pro International Men's Pro Basketball Combine just outside of Washington D.C., October of 2007, was a huge success. In addition to the pool of talented player present at the combine, WWPI brought in some special guests to enhance the combine experience for the player. One of the special guests at the combine was the Director of Player Development for the NBA's Washington Wizards, Ed Tapscott. Tapscott has been involved with basketball for over 25 years. He has served in many different roles over his career, including President and COO of the Charlotte Bobcats, and interim President and GM of the New York Knicks. Tapscott attending the Saturday session of the combine. In addition to scouting some of the games, Tapscott spoke to all of the combine participants about some very crucial and critical items that they will need in order to become a successful pro basketball player.
Another great addition to the WWPI Men's Combine at Hoop Magic, was the officials. WWPI & Hoop Magic were able to supply the combine with top notch referees from the NBDL. The three man crew did an excellent job all weekend long in implementing the International Rules and making sure players has an understanding of those rules. Their professionalism and knowledge of the game definitely enhance the combine experience for the players and staff.
